April 2011 DR Team – Introduction
Mountain Christian Church is preparing to send off its first all women Short Term Mission Team! We will leave for Monte Cristi at 5:45AM this Thursday, April 7th and will return the evening of April 14th.
What an amazingly blessed group of 12 women we are! Our team is made up of 6 women returning to the DR (for some this marks the 4th and 5th trip back!) and 6 women who will be going for the first time.
Together, we leave behind 11 husbands to care for 30 children! We are very excited and can’t wait to see what God has planned for us. We have been meeting and preparing as a team for the last 3 months and now we are ready to go all in and make waves!!
Our focus is women and their relationships as friends, mothers, wives, leaders and children of God. We have many events planned that will enable us to share this message and we welcome you to check back and read our updates and stories of how God is working in our lives and the lives of the women and people in Monte Cristi.
We ask for your prayers – for safe travels, team health, our families, the loving people and church leaders in Monte Cristi, the many events we have planned, our team and all of the amazing things God has in store for us.
We give thanks to the many supporters who gave to make this trip possible. We are blessed and so thankful to have you partnering with us.
